New to the forum although I've had a 944 2.7 for 6 years. I've always used Auto 2000 (Nick is superb, excellent value), however the petrol for the 100 mile round trip is adding up a bit and I wondered if anyone knows of a reliabe garage in the Hertford area? Hatfield OPC is out of the question as its too expensive, depsite digging about on the interweb pipes I've not found anything yet.

I know they aren't in Hertford, but they are fairly close; RPM technik in Cheddington, about 5 miles from Tring i think, and JZ Machtec who i think are located in Kings Langley. There may be a few more located in North London (think there may be one in Wembley?). Also try the back of the Porsche mags, lots advertise in them.

I've used JZ before and would never use them again but I'll certainly try the Tring garage.

RPM would be my thoughts as well. They certainly know 944s
