result for hamilton :D but a bit of a surprise for the rest, especially ferrari, lack of traction control a bit of an issue in some cases but surprising lack of reliability in others, lets see what happens next week in malaysia

Very interesting race. Not only were Ferrari unreliable but both drivers made mistakes. The Scuderia has the edge on McLaren for pace this year so the Mercs need all the luck they can get. Great to see Williams back on the podium and BMW doing well -I don't recall the last time 3 teams took the top 3 places. Unlucky for Heikki - he drive well enough to deserve 2nd, but the Safety Car period just came at the wrong time.

Bit of a strange race, just have to wait and see what happens next weekend.

Much better to see them race without some of the electronics.

Not sure about Ferrari having the edge on pace.Who got pole? Maclaren looked pretty dominant but cant see that lasting long.Ferrari will be back with a vengeance probably. All the makings of a good season.Nice to see Williams up there again.Alonso looked strong as well,so no doubt he will win sometime.Hamilton did well to hold off the BMWs as they looked really good in qualifying.Only a week to wait for the next one!

Loved the race, removal of the electronics only rearly showed up when the pressure was on, can't remember who Raikkonen was behind when he spun out trying that nth too hard but made for interesting racing and how long is it since anyone has said that about F1, shame the McLaren lost its gears after the great o/take of Alonso's Renault as Heikki had pulled off what Kimi couldn't, if the safety cars hadn't kept bringing Lewis back to the pack he would have cleared off and made it boring, clearly his day

It was worth getting up early just to hear Coulthard swear live on TV. Most unusual as he's always very diplomatic. It was edited out on the later shows though. He either said he was going to beat the sh*t out of Massa, or Massa was a little sh*t - didn't quite catch it..

He's done that before, he said I'm going to beat the sh1t out of the little bar steward.

Still not as good as Kimi's comment to MB when he asked what he thought to Schumachers farewell to the crowd in his last race "Don't know I went for a sh1t". Or words to that effect.

It's better. But they need to take off the aero' to make it really interesting. It's far too difficult to pass. Without airodynamics we'd be back to cigar tubes as in the Jim Clarke era. Good race though. Look forward to the rest of the season :)

Has it really been on ITV for the last 12 years?

I've just listened to the old theme tune, it's still cool 8)
