Went out earlier to get some petrol for the 968. Realised I hadn't been in her for 10 days so decided to do a quick run round a few streets to keep her turned over. First 10 miles through local streets and villages at 30MPH, then decided to go to the main road and head back home along a reasonably fast road. I was 8 miles from home at this point and had been out for 20 mins (told the girlfriend I'd be back in half an hour when I left).

For some strange reason I turned the oppositie way from home at the main road junction, set the Tiptronic box into semi automatic and pulled out of the junction.

Got home 90 minutes later (been out nearly 2 hours by then) to a furious girlfriend who is now demanding to know where I went and why I didn't get any petrol for the Porsche.

Don't really know how to tell her that I did get petrol for the 968 but then burnt it all off driving across Bucks and into Herts, enjoying country lanes and clear open roads.

It's her Birthday next Friday and she now keep repeating things like "I hope you've bought me several expensive presents to make up for this......." along with "get and cook me a nice lunch...." and "you can take me shopping to John Lewis on Thursday night as well".

Ho hum.............. :D :D :D

The female just doesn't understand the primal logic of just going out for a drive :D Be dominant and put your foot down. I would tell my good lady I am the man of the house and if I want to go for a drive I will but just to keep the peace ..............

I went to work on Monday and told the missus I'd be working late.
Ended up going from Brighton to Portsmouth and back on country lanes.
So much easier when the roads are clear of school traffic

 More of this absolute rubbish.

Feeling a rather annoyed Pixie Porsche today ...

On the up side my car has been washed and polished and looks beautiful ... makes me stop for a moment and consider not taking it out for a drive when it looks this good ... driving always wins though :D
