How did you go about lowering the car at the rear Jim?

Me and you are doing similar things - I have just fitted 20mm spacers all round!

Cheers Rich,
Lowering the rear is quite easy but not really a driveway job as the nuts tha need to be loosened are a bitch !
With the rear wheel off you will see the trailing arms with 2 x 24 mm nuts the one towards the front of the car is the pinch bolt and one behind adjusts by being concentric.
Unloosen the pinch bolt and loosen the rear bolt but not by much as the concentric can come out of it's hole and be awkward to get back in place, the adjustment is done from inide the arm on the concentric, moving the bolt anti-clockwise lowers and vice - versa.
A spare pair of hands helps to nip the pinch bolt when you are where you want to be (trial and error by putting the wheel back on and lowering remembering it will settle a little.
You are welcome to call me and i will talk you through it and explain what kit is needed, i used a mates garage with a ramp and the use of a windy gun also a very shallow socket 32mm i think helped with adjusting the concentric.
PM me and i will send contact numbers.

Forgot to say Kingsdoken, i have always had a hobby car(but now i have 2) and she knows that, she has no interest in cars but i could be sitting in the pub or betting office all day at the weekends !!
She would like to se them being sold, but does not whinge really and that will never happen as long as i stay in work, she's pretty cool really as i get a good deal of fly fishing in along with footie, but do bust my spuds around the house doing garden and maintenance stuff, painted a five bar wooden gate on the drive today and do my share of housework.

Rich,
my 220 was sitting quite high at the back, probably somewhere near it's upper limit, re index torsion bars is your next move if you want to go lower, havn't done it but i beleive it is quite a bit more involved.
Before adjustment car was certainly "tail up" not measured it but it will be 25/30 mm and a little bit more still available.
Cheers Jim.

Looks spot on! I was thinking about doing the same when I eventually get around to fitting the poly bushes that have been sat in the garage for 6 months. I'm not looking forward to loosening them trailing arm bolts but it has to be done for the realignment anyway.

Mines as low as it will go on the trailing arms. Unfortunately it knocks the camber and toe right out and my tyres are noticeably wearing on the inside big time. I really need to reindex the bar as soon as. False economy really, I can't afford to get it done at the mo but it's probably cheaper than a new pair of boots.

Rich,
18mm concentric spacers bolt on and have offset studs to take your wheels.

Same problem here, my rears have worn out on the inside eage over since xmass when I had mine set up by bubble and kick racing. Been told mines been lowered by reindex the torsion bar. So I can still lower on the entricbolts and rear coilovers. Car sitting nicely, look right, don't look slammed or boy racer. But iv got some angry looking camber, didn't look as bad on 16/245 d90 et53 as it dose on my et 63 18/255

Iv been using it 4 work so really not getting any off the benefits.
