I have found this morning that my sunroof will not operate open or closed,I can hear the switches in the rear clicking but the latches are currently not moving.
Weather this is also connected with the fault,I find that the tailgate latches dont always shut so that the tailgate locks on the latches.

I have checked fuses and the only other thing that I did differently of late was to connect a live amp lead to one of the live terminal nuts that goes into the fuse box(if this is relevant)
many thanks
Alan

Try removing this live amp lead and see if it makes a difference

I had this a few weeks ago, disconnected the switch and reattached it. It now works,

However it got stuck open on one off the hundred attempts, and I needed 2 manual lock the arms, I only had a screw driver at the time so I reset the arms that way rather then manually turning the motor, I then tryed a the mirror switch Which repeatedly open and closed the sunroof, striping one off the cogs. :(

Disconnected the amp wire and still the same :(
The tailgate issue is not so much a problem as the sunroof and I can hear the relay in the boot clicking when I operate the switch.
Should I have any clicking from the sunroof area as I have nothing.

checking last night and there is clicking from the rear by the sunroof motor so i guess that the switch is operating correctly.
Is there anything that is worth checking for elimination?
The tailgate latches close after about every 3 operations on the tailgate switch and I wonder if disconnection the live has thrown both the roof and tailgate out of sync...or am I missleading myself?
thank you
Alan

have ran a live to the sunroof motor and the roof arms moved and locked the roof down.
These all work:
sunroof motor
front micro switch
sunroof rocker switch
fusebox relay and both rear relays
there doesnt seem to be a live feed going to the motor when I use a test light on the wires whilst operating the switch, could this be a wire break maybe?

Guess what my sunroof decided mot to play today, fuse Okay, just fitted a boost gauge in a blanking plate where the oddments bin is situated under the radio, wondering if i have disturbed some wiring.
Have you checked for voltage to and from the operating switch ?

Yes the voltage is at the switch but not at the main relay(centre terminal)or the sunroof motor.
I need to find where the centre terminal goes to in order to get its power.
