I don't want to hijack your thread RAV but I'm intending to do the same as you to mine. I was talking to John Mitchell Garage who came recomended but a bit far away. Has anyone had dealings with Autograph cars in west Yorkshire? Seems to know his stuff but I'm no expert.

Also I've had lots of dealings with Wayne Schofield and can thoroughly recommend him. Although I didn't know he was a 944 man. He re-mapped a 993 for me. I'd had it supercharged by Ninemiester in warrington who gave it back with massive flat spot they couldn't get rid of. Wayne sorted it, 365HP. He is hard to get hold of but be persistant and you'll get good value for money.

I may be judging a book by it's cover here but looking at the "tat" that seems to be on sale at Autograph cars i would steer well clear.
Wayne Schofield at Chipwizard is the man with years of Porsche remapping experience, he did my Turbo S a couple of years ago,no BS and he knows what he is doing, now based in Rochdale Lancs i beleive.
Piping in an aftermarket boost gauge is a doddle the factory fitted on is as much use as mens booby's !
The AFR meters require a bit of graft but are worth it in a modified turbo to let you know when you are running lean (not good) read .........................BANG !
Need to get one sorted for mine

Just been speaking to the previous owners (Jon and Tom - thanks chaps).

I have decided that its best to ask Promax to set this up for me as there is now a jumble of trick parts on the car. A quick chat with Andy at Promax motorsport in Milton Keynes.

We are almost sure that the car still has the Promax chips in the car (cant tell till i take it the brain out). The car defo has the Tial Wastegate, Manual boost controller and bailey dump valve in.

I have been quoted £700 to set this all up correctly including checking the fuelling etc and a leak down test to show if the engine is healthy. I might have to save for this......

 Thats about double what Wayne would charge you. Seriously Promax can sell you some kit to make your turbo go better & they know there stuff on the right bits. But you can't beat a live map. Forget chips. Mapping is far more effective. Also you get the injectors cleaned & set by Wayne. Hes in Milnrow which is close to Rochedale.
I keep telling people but nobody seems to understand this. Think about it. Have you ever heard of someone haveing to uprate the clutch. And fit new drive shafts after plugging a chip in??????? :blackeye:

They won't have, and an early start, late home would be well worth it !!
