My 944S passenger door handle is not opening.
Wont open either from the inside or the outside.

Have tried turning the key in the lock but still wont open - the lock button makes a click off the central locking but does not seem to unlock.

Any advice how to fix this and what I'll need.

You'll need to get the door trim off to see what the problem is, and that could be difficult with the door closed - I can't remember what holds the trim on on the 944, but if it's difficult/impossible to get to with the door closed it could be a real bind.

Give it a thump form the inside with your palm, worked on my S2 when the same happened to me.

My Driver door stopped working today too but only from the outside, I had to strip the door card down & found the Reverse Lever snapped at one end. Looks like I will be contacting the OPC tomorrow for a replacement unless anybody could give me some better advice - 944 537 262 00 Reverse Lever.

While the door card is off I would like to rust prevent the inside and renovate the handle, what advice is there for renovating them, can they be sprayed, coated or buffed up, they have the Porsche logo.

Whats best prevention on the inner door area?

Thanks in advance
Simon

That looks like the casting has broken. My passenger side had done the same. But the lug is a lot smaller and closer too the handle. You maybe able 2 drill a new hole and get a longer linkage. There's repire kit 4 the peace that's free not sure if it will work with the broken casting. Iv not repired mine as it can be opened from the inside still. I also have the Porsche script handles and finding a replacement seems quite expensive. Iv got another door handle soilded but no scprit, don't think are fit it.

I had this exact problem a few weeks ago. Broke at the same point. I removed the parts off an older door handle and made the repair.
