Have you got the digital clock or have you retro fitted the old analogue clock in? I have put the old clock in and it doesn't light up, so I'm asking to find out if my old clock has blown it's bulb, or your clock is different.

Here is a photo of my analogue clock before I retrofitted it into my S4.
There is a bulb at the back as you can see.
Access is easy by taking out the surround in the centre console and then just popping out the clock and getting access to the bulb at the back.

Hoep this helps

Steve

Hi Steve :)

I thought that was the "digital clock" i.e the one with digital numbers...

The "ANALOG" clock being the one thats round with orange hands like an old fashoned station or house clock...

No ??

All the best Brett :)

Sorry guys, that was the "before conversion" photo.

Here is the analogue S4 clock. Its not round its the same shape as the digital clock, just with a rectangular face.

See photo.

Hi John

From memory yes the black surround just levers out and then the clock is removeable.
If you have problems let me know and I will go check and get mine out.....

Steve

Hi Pedalboy,

I'm pretty sure the clock uses a 1.2w bulb, identical to all the dash warning bulbs.

If they are in a base then they're not designed to plug into base, the bulb and base are integral unit.

I don't have bulb type number with me, but you should be able to find those 1.2w bulbs at halfords or failing that someone like HQ Autobulbs (google/search ebay). If all fails i have loads of spares so PM me with your address and i can send one, but not for a week as am away for work.

Cheers

Adrian

Hi Pedalboy

Concur with Stratford Shark on this - Just changed my bulb this evening - its the same bulb unit that goes in the back of the Dash & the bulbs are fixed in the holder. I would send your bulb back to Jaeger Engineering and get them to send the right ones over to you.

When you get the led version of the bulb in base, note it will only work one way round, so if not illuminated just reinstall in reverse position before putting everything together.
