My seats were looking a little tatty and were a little uncomfortable .......so I purchase foam cut to size from my local newsagent cost me £2.50.....best bargain so far ......

2 pieces were fitted in each seat under the covers......what a difference!

Very nice large/turbo style bolster seats seem 2 be worth more the the engines in these cars. I would surgest u swap the backs over, this will give u a fresh bolster from the panssangers inside as the drivers outside.

So were they reconlised? Re dyed? Got some blue 996 seats I want 2 dye linen. Or have my sport seats repaired and re died. They got the usual wear on the bolster and have started 2 split along the perforated stiching. Was something I was meaning 2 attemp myself.

NO IDEA...EDDIE feel free to chip in when your on

I was going to do it myself but by the time you add in cleaner, dye, filler, protector etc your upto £100+ so left it to the experts!

The seats I did for Ken in the pics were re-dyed using very intense water based leather dye.Connolising is a term meaning to colour dye leather which came from the Connolly Leather Co. who supplied RR.
Modern day dyes far exceed the old style solvent based ones used by the Connolly Bros. which hardened and cracked. Not like modern dyes and protectors which stay flexible.

If anyone has any pics of seats they are thinking about having refurbished or doing it themselves then send them to me and I will advise as much as possible.

Cheers

Nick

I have a pair of pairs Id be interested in a re-dye price for. One late sports bolster set in linen and one standard set in grey-beige. Both will have normal fair wear with a new panel on the drivers bolster.
