 Post subject: Powder Coat / Chrome

I am considering getting these parts powder coated or chromed.

Am not that engine savvy, so could anyone tell me what the red & blue parts are called.

Also would they be easy enough taken off and replaced or would a mechanic need to do this?

That is your inlet manifold in the middle ( where the air goes in ) and your cam covers on either side. I done this 6 months ago, so have all the part numbers. Gaskets and bits and pieces came to around £800. Mike Dowie added up all the receipts. Plus the cost of powder coating. I painted mine, look in the back in this section for the thread. The local powder coater would not do the cam covers as he thought it might melt in the heat once back on the car.

Found the thread. If you want all the part numbers, let me know. There are a few things you should replace while it is off, like the knock sensors.
