My drivers side window lifter mechanism on my s2 cab is badly worn and I'm trying to get a replacement from a breakers. I just spoke to Douglas valley and contrary to what i though, (the lifter is Cab specific and commands a premium price) any lifter of a late model 944 will have the stopper at the top of its travel and will work fine. Anyone know for sure about this?
Cheers. Ben..

Cheers ordered it off Porschapart £75 - £15 credit I had with them + £10 carriage + vat. its funny. looking at pictures on E-bay, the O/S cab regulator looks like a N/S Coupe regulator. and the parts diagram looks like that too despite the discrepancies in part numbers.
I must get home and water my money-tree Grrr..

My window lifter just arrived. part number 94453704201 stamped on the arm, which is the coupe part number. Go figure. Porschapart said they took it out of a cab they just got from japan. so i guess the chap at douglas valley was spot on about it. I'll confirm for sure when i fit it. probably tonight.

I asked the question and was told they have different part no.s, that as the quaterlight was seperate and the lift/drop was 60mm shorter it would not fit so will be very interested in your experiment as there are not a lot of cabby's broken, fingers crossed

They are identical. the only difference is the part number stamped on the arms. I am happy though. Window is smooth now and i've fitted some new/used door cards.
