!!

Hi Sean,

Finished cleaning up the pass & rear cabin sections of the carpets ...big improvement :D ..the crude that came out was bad. Stripped out all the sodden and smelly s/proofn (heavy stuff that H2O)..Have now got the drivers section out (sat morn) worst of the lot so will attack that this week.

Here some more pics of the car shown the water ingress (will post the cleaned carpets all at once later on).

It rained on sat eve here (Bedford  ) so at least i can begin to see the water is coming i and its trail, next is the rear ...watch this space.

Cheers

When i say steam cleaner i mean a big pressure washer ..outside one !!( truck and car washer ).... i assume you mean the car valeter "steam vac " that they use on seats etc....

I don't have access to one them... what do you think to turning the reg down to reduce the high press to a minimum and gently trying it on a section (using a carpet shampoo mix to act as a detergent)??? or does it sound like a bit of a no no.

Cheers

Here's the results, came up very well i think, the photo of the pass/carpet looks a bit yellow brown for some reason, the carpet is ok

Cheers guy's...still got the rear qtr's to do and rear carpet to do..but steady away eh.

Its absolutely tipping it down here :x , anyway my next job is to continue with the trim removal and rear lamps removal and reseal, i'm gonna cure the sunroof leak, once and for all and with the rear qtrs out make sure the pipes from the rear of the sunroof are sealed and check the fuel filler neck is not leaking !,the seal is cracked around the filler..(not sure if that would lead to water ingress into the car or not ???.

Hopefully tomorrow is dry  have another go at it.

Cheers
