 Post subject: Winter Starting Tip

Apparently this tip comes from the Lada and Russian military manuals.

Prior to turning on the ignition on a winters day, turn on the head lights for 10-15 seconds. Turn off lights, then turn on ignition.

I understand the demand on the battery when the lights are turned on starts the chemical reaction within the battery. When the greater demand of the ignition is placed on the battery it is already 'awake' and is able to cope with the demand.

Might help on a cold winter's morning!

Any tips on finding the car in the first place? Until today I've had 2 blobs of snow on the drive, I think one is a Jaguar & one is a 944 :lol:
