Hi All,

Had to move the old 944t this morning as the kids wanted the xmas tree from the loft above.
Started the car and left it to idle on the drive whilst i recovered the tree.

On moving the car back intot the garage, there was a pool of oil left where the front of the engine had been.
I took a quick picture to see if you could help me work out where the oil has come from.......

Please help.

looks similar to the small leak I have, I thought it was the front engine seal.

Booked in to the indy on Tuesday so will let you know what they say.

Oil pressure sender is in that area another common one.sometimes a quick "nip up" sorts it.

difficult to tell.
Is it definitly oil or could it be ATF ?
Check the underside of the power steering topup bottle. The hose and jubillee clips are a frequent source of leaks .

Is the leak towards the back of the engine or closer to the front? I can't really tell from the picture. You could try checking the oil filter is screwed on tight. If it's towards the front, it's more than likely could be the front crankcase seals. Mine went in Feb this year. The oil was dripping down onto the power steering hose running from nearside of rack back to the pump.

Regards,

Ben
