Well after a relatively short search I have just purchased my first 944! :D

1991 Guards Red S2 with Linen leather interior.

Can't wait to get my hands on her early next week. :bounce:

I've hopefully struck a balance between a car that will be reliable enough for me to drive daily but still provides the opportunity for a few projects to bring the car back to near mint condition. Time will tell!

Thanks to everyone for all the previous comments people have made to previous posts and in particular to Les (Red Rider) who braved the cold last Saturday to give me a guided tour of his lovely S2 which enabled me to make a much more informed decision in respect of the car I bought. :occasion5:

Will post some pics in due course!!

Great news. Hope your happy with it. Keep the underside washed off with a pressure hose if your using it with the roads caked in salt. Mine doesn't seem to suffer from it but I do wash the underside off every week when theres salt down.

Picked up the 944 tonight and took the opportunity to take it for a good drive on the way home. More time I spend with these cars the more they grow on me!

Maybe I've devloped some immunity to the 911's appeal over the years and I know they are not comparable to the 944, but I had more of a sense of occassion (perhaps on a personal level) driving her home, looking down a long bonnett at pop-up headlights!

Hoping for a fine weekend so I can get the polish and wax out.

Finally got around to uploading a couple of pics today - weather has been appaling since I picked up the car so apologioes for the poor light!

Really enjoying the car and now starting to plan for a few liitle projects for her next year... first of which will be to get the alloys refurbed (not that there too bad - but just can't stand even small scuffs!
