Hi All,

Collecting my white air cooled Carerra tonight. It needs a little cosmetic work and the brakes need sorting but it's going to be a steady winter project ready for the summmer. :D

I bought one on Saturday, a 911 SC targa, black, picnic table spoiler, but unfortunately no targa roof and the windscreen is cracked.......

..... but what can you expect for 50p from the Age Concern charity shop :lol:

I buy all the Porsches I find in the 'kids toys' boxes in charity shops, just a bit of fun really. I've also got a Thunderbird 2 with the drop out container and a Thunderbird 4 inside it - £2 that was, but what the heck, easy come easy go :lol:

Enjoy it Ben. You need to find the roof bars for it now to get your bike on :wink:

Finally got some pictures to post. I just need to sort out the brakes and give her a good general clean up. Tyres are pretty flat too! She's well, er, air cooled and has 12 gears. She should come in handy for my Triathlon next year.

Anyone got any small Porsche logo stickers???

As for the real 911, thats going to have to wait just a little longer. Sorry guys, I know it's the wrong type of Carrera.

Lol..... Unfortuneately it's the Carrera produced by Halfords and not the original Italian one.

Back in an 80's Porsche 944 catalogue, there was a picture of a cycle roof rack for 944. On the roof rack was a Porsche bike - black frame with P name in mauve/pink.....

Must admit I still have my 1990 Peugeot racing bike in service. Used regularly and cheap to run.
Just had to buy a family car for impending arrival so will have to loose my trusty old Clio :(
