Anyone else been playing the new Need For Speed Hot Pursuit game. Fun to be either a racer or cop. For once a game has a lot of current Porsches to use and the showcase movies are a welcome change. Has a film about the new 918 spyder eco car aswell as the Panemera turbo developments.
I know PopRock has looked at the demo because of the Friends Autolog system, will you be getting it then mate? I can race you down the highways then in my Carrera 4S cop car 8)
My Xbox 360 gamertag is ANDY944TURBOS if anyone else is online

I’ve just picked up the full game, but I’m hampered a little by my steering wheel being in the shop for repairs.

Still, even just using the joypad I’ve made a start on worrying your best times on the leaderboards …

Competitive? Me?

I’ve also just played enough races to earn the 4S myself … but only in racer mode, not as a cop yet.

It’s a lot of fun, isn’t it? Not a proper driving/racing sim like Forza, not as all-out arcade style as Blur. Somewhere inbetween, like Ridge Racer + cops and robbers!

I'll be looking out for the autolog timetables then. Loads of Porsche stuff on there and the handling is great for just drifting round bends, "I am a driving god" as Hammond would say  We'll have to set up an online party and go bust some pesky racers

Also, I noticed last night that you actually get to drive the 918 Spyder as well. Now, to get far enough into the game to unlock it …

I have to say, the time trial racing a McLaren F1 over the mountain roads is one of the best events I’ve played in any driving game. Just so much fun.

Talk about power slide heaven, can't beat the gold medal time though trying to figure out where to make the time up.
I seem to have scratched my Carrera GT  I took the bend a bit fast

I keep doing exactly the same thing—crashing the Carrera GT when I try to take the shortcuts.

I think I need to take them though, to get the time down low enough. It’s just going to be a case of playing and replaying that challenge until I’ve memorised the road and can anticipate the turnings from further ahead …

My wife’s working all night tonight and all day & night on Sunday. I think I know what I’ll be doing.
