Spent the night in casualty with my daughter after she got hold of the infant nuerophen bottle & o.d ed on it. Turns out it's as strong as a victory V so no harm done. Came back this morning & was heading the wrong way against the Kamikaze rush for the motorway. Avoided tow idiots coming at me through a red light. Stopped & was hit from the side by another nut with a frosted windscreen. " Sorry mate I couldn't' see you through my frozen windscreen." Great. So the Suzuki's off the road as well as the Porsche! Guy that hit me works for an insurance company........ Trashed his new company Peugeot. I was stationary & sounded the horn & the idiot still kept coming. :( At least nobody was hurt & it wasn't the Porsche! :bounce:

That’s really harsh. Hope it’s sorted quickly and glad your daughter’s okay!

I'm pleased all is well not nice when kids do things like that.

Haven't people ever heard of hot water on the windscreen to clear, or a CD case as a scraper if they are too tight to buy one designed for the task. Finally maybe start the car and run for a couple of minutes before driving again to clear screens.

Here comes winter again.

J.J. That is shocking! Some people do not have any road sense. I could rant all day about numpty's who are a waste of oxygen with a driving license.

Glad you and your daughter are ok.

Well the good news is he isn't arguing the toss about whose fault it is. Hes about my age so should know better! So it will be up to the insurance to mess about now so who knows when I'll have a car!

I've got a 9 month old daughter myself mate and I cringed when I read that. Glad to hear she's o.k, I'll wager that she's getting some serious cuddles now :D
I've lost count of how many people I see "just nipping" through the lights in the morning and nearly causing an accident and on mobile phones

Yup taught the Missus the warm water trick & it works well. Part of the problem is bloody diesels that are so efficient they take miles to heat up, so no heater to clear the screen with.
Glad the sprog is OK though JJ.

JJ,

First off, glad to hear you and Nina are both ok.

Secondly, this is the kind of thing that pisses me off. I mean driving with the windscreen frosted up. I could rant for hours about these kind of idiots.

And then people wonder why we're becoming a nanny state. We're become a nanny state because a small percentage of people are turning into numpties and disconnecting common sense from the brains.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Just stop the world. I want to get off. Who wants to join me?

Ben

Glad your all okay JJ.
Hope the insurance company have sorted a hire car for the short term :?:

We've only just settled on two accidents from four years ago. Both the other drivers were at fault. One didn't watch the road in front and the other didn't turn thier lights on :o

Can take a long time before things get straight

Just rung up to see whats happening & they haven't even inspected it yet! So no car for the weekend. Might have to get the Porsche out slipping clutch or not. :( New clutch should be here in the morning. Uprated turbo Sachs kit. That should handle the torque! Supplied complementary by JMG as the Helix kit I'd ordered not available. (Despite a hefty price difference.) You can't go wrong with these guys. :bounce:

More bad news. The third party insurer is disputing the claim. That means I either find the witness or pay! Great. But what else could I do. Call the police & by the time they'd come his screen would have been clear. The witness runs away. Just his word against mine.

This sort of thing really grips my shit, am I the only honest person left. I can genuinely say that I would of took the rap for that as it was my own stupidity! It's the same with manners as well, nobody seems to have them anymore. Everybody seems to be only out for themselves nowadays! I believe in what goes around comes around and hopefully a world of shit will come his way, failing that find out where he lives and go and give him the shoeing of a lifetime!!!
Sorry about that, rant over!
Andy Bruce.
