I have limited experience of electric seat, however using electric dampers and actuators at work, they rearly come with a mechanical over ride. This would knock out limit switches and any over run timers. The exception to this is things that need a manual over ride, such as smoke dampers at work or the headlights on a 944 etc. I don't think they would have built it into a seat.

Could you get a live feed from somewhere?
