I completely blanked the fact that my MOT was due soon. Thought I had a month or two to go, but I was wrong … it’s due this week.

Peter at Motortune is being helpful and booking me in for Thursday.

Now for the nerves to start kicking in …

Good luck with that. I only just had mine & it failed for the 1st time in my 6 years of ownership.

I'm glad it only failed on one thing, as that cost me almost £300 to put right.

Remember that you can have you motor MOTed one month before it has ran out and if it passes the new ticket will untill the old one would have ran out. up to a maximum of 13 months

Don't mention MOT's mine last year was £1,400 after the sills were done plus a few other bits & that doesn't include the various bits I did before it, such as 2 new wishbones & Dansk exhaust...
I still get reminded about when Mrs TR7V8 is having a dig about spending on toys

My baby passed with flying colours. Yesss!

Going back in a couple of weeks anyway for an increase in boooost, now that I know it’s mechanically sound enough to do so.

Ach, nothing serious just yet. It’s already had the whole exhaust system upgraded and an adjustable wastegate fitted … so I’m going to adjust it. The plan is to go from the standard 7psi up to 17, in time for Bruntingthorpe.

Blimey Tony,

That sounds heavy

Suggest you get Chris Franklin of Centergravity to give the car a quick check over at brunty before you unleash it on the track.

Did you manage to speak to him or get pictures for the next edition of All Torque

Regards

Brian
