I went 2 check my engine oil, (944 S) unscrewed the cap 2 top it up and noticed a thin cable I had never seen b4. As I took hold off it it came more free. Iv read that the ideal control valve stabliser can come free from removing the oil cap. It had a small blue clineder about the size off a pound coin and a about 20-30 mm tall. It had come unplugged from a tube that sits behind the oil caps neck. Was a right pain 2 plug back in due 2 the lack off space 2 hold the tube while it was push fitted. There's a branch then a similar if not same size tube which plugs in 2 a larger canster thing on the fule rail. That then came free, so I undone the main hose 2 the oil caps neck plug them both back in. Much easyer then before.

Sorry 4 my lack off knowage. I'm just wondering what these are? And there persouse. I'm guess there vacuum lines?

Is there anyway 2 ensure a tighter fit?

It sounds like vacuum lines and the one way valve. Have a look at the diagrams on Lindsey Racing's site for the vacuum tube diagrams.

http://www.lindseyracing.com/LR/Parts/VACDIA.html

I think the blue valve you mention is the one at the top of the diagrams that appears to go nowhere.

From what you're describing it sounds like the valve on the brake servo as that's the only small blue cylinder I can think of. Not too familiary with the vacuum layout on the S though so can't be too sure.

Your heater will be stuck on Hot if this one way valve is disconnected.

There's a 3 way connection before it and the left branches over though the fire wall 2 the black bullet shaped thing, I think it's a vacuum. Are get a picture.

So is it really possible 2 deconext the ivs when removing the oil cap?
