Which modle will these disc fit?

As far as I can tell from looking at PET, it looks like it's for '89 year 944. I'm going to assume an S2 judging by the part number. There are Turbo disc part numbers but they start 951. But don't quote me on it.

Jim will probably be along in a minute who'll have a better idea than me.

Just Google the part number Terry, there are a number of companies selling the disc and giving the information you need.

87 - 89 944 / S seems to be favourite.

Thats the part numebr for front discs for an 87-88 944, from when ABS was an optional extra.

Basically anything but a Turbo from 87-88 that has a floating caliper.

Will only fit a floating caliper as well, any car from 87-88 that has had a 4 pot conversaion will need the larger diameter discs used on the turbo/S2/968

Thanks guys, i brought some new/ old stock Porsche front discs off eBay, they were avertisted as 86-88 which is the S modle or the turbo b4 it turned turbo S. I thought I brought the right ones. Just some discs are stated as 81-89 and others 86-89. With the earlier -85.5 and 23 et I can't see the disc been the same. Early disc up 85.5 are very cheap incomprassion.

Looks like I got 2 new discs 4 £ 55 brand is just gueniue Porsche. Date on the box end 98 so guess there 12 years old. I was stocked at the weight off the things! Never held discs b4.

Should I do this b4 I fit the discs? Just there's some rustfrom storage iv got most off it off but just wanted 2 use old pads 2 bead them in.

If you are fitting braided hoses you may as well do this at the same time as access will be better when you remove the calipers. As to using the old pads to bed in the discs, I wouldn't I would give them a light rub with either fine emery paper or wire wool before fitting and remember to de-grease them with solvent to remove the grease used to prevent rusting during storage and transport then just fit new pads otherwise you run the risk of grooving the discs with the worn pads then having to bed in the new set. Plus you will have to basically do the pad change twice which only increases the risk of breaking the pad wear indicator or losing a spring.

Ok, makes sense. Iv got all the rust off all ready. Will fit new pads as well.

Is this one off them jobs were a part always brakes? Is it worth having spare off everything as it will be a weekend job.

Unless you are unlucky nothing should break, 2 hours at the most so long as the disc holding screws dig their heels in, but then a bit heat and hammer action on the posi screwdriver and you should be done in 2/3 hours at the most.
