Looks in good condition. It still amazes me that so many can polish up so well when their 20 years old.

Them be some very rare wheels you have there! Early offset cup 2's they are not original Porsche, made by mille miglia but so good was the quality that they were one of the few companies to receive Porsche approval of their copies (or so I heard).

I had a set on my 86 turbo :D lovely car too, I always liked that colour on the 944 after Fens car.

Everyday is a school day. I have to admit I thought they were Porsche original but good to know they are top quality!! :D

Yep she is in great condition for her 24 years!! Had a problem with the master cylinder a week after i got her (probably due to not seeing much use for the last 6 months) so had both the master and slave replaced but she is running good now!!

James.

Hi all

Finally managed to get around to posting a couple of pictures of my car - it's the Blue one by the way  .

To be honest I have been too busy driving it to bother getting out and taking photos! I've been so impressed with how capable this car is, after owning a Mid engined MR2 I didn't expect this car have quite as much grip but that's not the case & you don't have the downsides of snap oversteer either!

Anyway, after one months ownership its a case of so far so good, half of my 1st years £1500 budget has been spent on a belt and water pump change but I'm much happier knowing that's done! Next jobs will be sorting out the stone chips on the front bumper, badge plate and wing mirrors. I'll sort out some before and after pictures for you all to see.

Hope to see some of you at a Midlands meeting soon,

Lee

Looks good, lovely pictures ( and Victoria Quay in the background ). I hope you're coming to the monthly meeting on the 6th so I can see it in the flesh.

Very nice interior, unusual coulor. You have got full leather interior!!! No vinyl. Centre console and lower dash is leather. Also them seats? Arnt they 933? Do you have matching rears?

Hay! Iv seen the build off this car on the net, spent hours reading the project. Glad you changed the badge pannel as it's ill fitting 2 the turbo bumper. I couldn't understand why he didn't swap the vents over 2 a turbo pannel? The project was so furrer. How much did you pay? I'm jelous!

And them wheels! There on off choces I think there really suit the car, much more then any off the other Porsche wheels.

404bhp!!! U have got 2 take me out in that!

Please :D

Hi t3rra,

To the best of my knowledge the car is completely original and the interior is green leather (front and back), no vinyl. The
carpets are also green throughout, not that you see them too much because of the mats. I originally bought the car in 1998
when it had 17,500 miles on the clock, sold it at 93,000 and bought it back off the bloke I sold it to eight years later with
132K on the clock (nothing had changed, now even the tyres. LOL). I believe the car may have been pre-registered by
AFN Reading, then sold to it's first owner who lived in Bristol, which would make me the 3rd and 5th registered keepers.

You would know better then me then  but most 968 sheared the same style off seats as all the later 80 porsches. Well at least the cloth style and non rs club sport fixed back seats. Them seats are defiantly 993 style stiching. Maybe that was the seat style 4 that year on ward. I noticed the carpet it's nice.

This is a 1.1 mile straight - which is a private road owned by the MOD (who don't own RAF Wroughton any more.....)

It actually has even more done to it than is listed in the build on Ricks site. Since owning it I keep finding more and more bits I didn't know about/aren't mentioned. There's also some suspicion that the 404 figure is now outdated but she hasn't been back to a dyno since the last set of modifications and it will be a while as there are a few bits I'd like to do before it gets any serious abuse and I just don't have the money in the year due to going back to University this year as a full time student.

I'd really like to set up my own website for the car and continue on the history for people to follow. I can't remember which pictures I have posted and where so apologies if these are repeats but I had a full bare metal re-spray done over the summer including changing all the metal panels at the front end of the car to fibreglass (except the bonet)

Edited: Seen I've already posted the pics on another thread so removed them from here:)
