I'm not going 2 buy, but I still look. And a high mileage puts me off. But iv seen a 944 pull up next 2 me. Looked in the window and it had 235000 miles on it. I got mine on 103000 and it's now pushing 117000 after a year. And it drove all the way back home 360 miles fine! Iv seens spent 4 times the perucashe price and it still wants. These cars are by no means cheap. A few have been lucky and the cars not wanted much. But still not much can soon build up. Parts arnt as costly as new Porsche but the labour is, and there's a lot off parts. Things u don't really think off. I just brought 2 new rubber hacth lock surrounds at 40 pounds!

There's penalty well cared 4 ones sale at the same money as negated ones

I have a genuinely mint 220 turbo for sale these are appreciating, 125k if the miles are an issue, every mot and a history as thick as your doorstep, straight sharp and absoluluy no rust issues, dry weather use most of it's life.
Boggo standard apart from a boost enhancer, rare Kalahari Beige with mint unmarked turbo teledials but cup 1 wheels as an option.
May only be for sale for a short time as i have been offered a trade deal on a 996 which is being PX shortly,if i could afford to keep it this car this car would be staying put.

Edited to say i want 7k firm, nothing to spend on it, ready to go and absolutely any inspection.

Thanks frenchy, sounds like a very nice car, but i'm going to hold out for an se. Does seem like the earlier cars are commanding more money. One of the reasons i want an se is because, my boss when i was 19, in 1989, took delivery of a brand new red turbo se. Where i worked, we shared a small car park with another firm, and you had to park end to end. When someone needed to be let out, i got thrown the keys to move the cars for people. Mk1 golf gti's, sunbeam lotus, audi quattro, and 944 turbo se, all were taken for extended, high speed drives around the block. I've already owned the first three, its time for a 944.

Cheers

Craig.

The search is over, picking car up this saturday. Its a 1989/G turbo se, with m030 option, and blue leather sport's seats. Has covered 98,000 miles, a bit more than i originally wanted, but interior and mechanics are A1. Bodywork needs a little tlc. Bottom rear of front wings have some rust to get rid of, a few areas of paintwork need tidying. If anyone can recommend any bodyshops around the n/w and west london, hertfordshire, berkshire areas. Preferably someone who knows their porsches, it would be much appreciated. Membership money has been sent. I'll get some more info up, and some pictures soon. Thanks to everyone, who has encouraged, and advised me in my search.

Cheers guys,

Craig. :D

Cheers JJ. I had it inspected, only bad points were, rust at the bottom, rear, of both front wings. Slight play in the front top mounts, and a few bits of minor paintwork to get sorted. Thanks for your advice.
Cheers
Craig.

Cheers Andy, not really thought about modifying it. My last car was a mitsubishi evo 5, which was dyno'd at 340bhp at the flywheel. It was fast, and handled well, but no real character. I prefer the older, classic stuff. This ones a keeper. What mods have you done to your car, and what sort of power you running.

Cheers

Craig.

To save me rewriting it all http://forums.tipec.net/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=7011&start=0 and http://forums.tipec.net/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=5097&hilit=spoiler&start=0 Sorting out an ongoing fueling issue at the moment and then complete body and interior restoration over the winter with some fruity add ons to the body i.e chin spoiler, side skirts etc basically the 'keep it original' brigade will probably have a heart attack but we'll see

If you are willing to forget the mileage thing (if its a car to keep it really really shouldn't matter) Hartech has a very tight mechanically and rust free 944 turbo in their showroom. It was the one features in 911 porsche world early 2010.

It's a 3.0 turbo so not standard but built using all factory standard parts (its the 944 turbo Porsche should have produced) and still runs the very conserative factory standard boost level so very sensibly modified. I've been out in the car and looked around it very closely. You wouldn't go far wrong and it was as tight and rust free as my 82,000mile old turbo.

It's owned by Barry who owns Hartech and the mileage was 216,000 last time I saw it.

Hi Niffty951, is it actually up for sale? I looked on their website and didn't see it. I am aware of the article and read it with interest. Any idea what kind of price?
