394 people have viewd this thread (some more than once ) yet only 29 have bothered to reply ? :?

I've had 3x 944 now and i always come back to them. I love the 'Grand Tourer' Supercar feel it has in the cab .. Loads of space even for a heavyweight like me.
I like the cream interior with leather sports seats .
Effortless fuss-free acceleration and smooth high speed cruising.. It always feels so safe and planted on the road which leaves me to relax and enjoy my driving.
Did I say fabulous looks as well ?

Is this restricted to just 944's? Or can 924 and 968 owners join in too?

An S bloody hell well its definitely the best looking S in the country!! I'm lucky, my car came with a full carbon fibre under tray/splitter. If you check out the 'show us your pride and joy' thread there's a pic :D She looks a bit different now though. I've lost the 924 vents and the headlight vent. She's a bit more of a wolf in a sheep skin coat :evil2:

You are of course welcome but I really recommend against it. After my first experience in a turbo running over 15psi my lux which I truly loved, just felt inadequate  I still loved it but like inception the idea once planted ate away at me until eventually I caved in and got one.. and once you own one your eyes will become wide and shiny at all the options available to you to have even more power until one day you'll find yourself in the position where you've become addicted to boost and nothing else will do. It truly is 'the dark side'

A naturally aspirated 944 is an awesome machine and plenty of sports car for the road. Ignorance is bliss. You don't need any more so just love it for the amazing sports car it is.

Agree with Nifty here Terra. Once you've been in a Turbo and then a modified turbo the power struggle just keeps knawing away at you. I thought I'd be well happy with the 330ish hp but mines at JMG at the moment and it's a case of "well while it's there what else can be done, maybe a 2.8ltr conversion, maybe a bigger turbo etc etc" my pockets are getting lighter and lighter and lighter but the grin is getting bigger and bigger and bigger :D

I know there quickers and the lag then boost is very interesting. I had a go in a 300z twin turbo, and it was an auto, but that felt quick from the passenger seat. But then people say the same about my n/a

A turbo is something I will have 2 Own. There ant day go by that think about a 944 turbo.

Nifty your list off turbos sounds like your well familiar

Forgot something. The noise. Been driving sheds all week. Took out the '44 which due to clutch slip in 1st 2nd & 3rd below 4000 rpm I haven't been using. Was cruising around at 3000+ to charge up the battery & just to run it & clean up the discs. Everyone was turning around to see what was coming. Sounds awesome. Parts ordered. But still waiting. :| Even sick it's a great drive :D
