Started great- raced down to London on friday evening and stayed at Crown Plaza, Hangar Lane.
Took the family to Westfield centre yesterday and then Muse at Wembley last night :D

Got back to the car (Jag) and it started to go wrong. Started up and the brake warning light came on with low fluid level. Reservoir empty and garages had no brake fluid. Pedal felt reasonable so I decided to limp home at a very reserved speed leaving space to the car in front suitable for any problems

Got up at crack of dawn to go to Harewood House and found the 928 wouldn't start which means the battery hasn't held its charge over the last week - seems she's killed another battery :(

So I've missed Harewood  and spent all morning sorting the brakes on the Jag - happily it was an easy fix at the finish.

Now I've just got to buy an new battery for the 928

You wait all week with no car problems then two come together...

Sorry to hear about these niggles Paul, and especially as it must have been lovely weather at Harewood if anything like here.

Wonder if it's just elderly battery or if you have a rogue drain on 928? If the new battery (you need size 096) holds charge ok for couple of weeks then can't be any abnormal drain. If you do flatten new battery quickly then I have a plug-in current meter for the CE panel fuses that will help find any problem. Am missing club night Monday but could help out on a w/e between now and next club night if necessary.

Cheers,

Adrian

Bad news on both cars fronts, is there an aftermarket alarm on the 928 could be draining the battery, my 944 used to drain the battery after 2 weeks if I didn't put her on the drip
