Hi All

In changing the clutch slave cylinder (see an earlier posting), I noticed an oil leak from the right side of the engine. It looks to me as though its coming from the oil pressure sender - is this a known weakness? Could it be anything else on that side of the engine (it is defo from the side, not dribbling from a front seal)
Thanks
Ian

I appear to have this leak too. Was going to leave it till I do my belts and waterpump before investigating it fully.

hmm. - just wondering if my oil filter is not tight enough, as this sits above the oiil pressure sender unit - will have a good clean and nosey around. The slight concern with this oil leak here, is that its dripping onto the rubber bush for the ARB....
Maybe this is an issue for you too Stuart?

Yes, although I have poly bushes there. Not sure if they will withstand more oil or not but don't think it's a problem. I'm more concerned about loosing oil from my engine from somewhere!

There doesn't seem to be an easy way to investigate whilst everything is in place so I will park it till the belts get done. I will be doing all front seals and waterpump and rollers too so should be easier to access and investigate sender then.

Make sure that it is not loose, mine was, they also need an M18 x 24 crush washer fitted against the block, aftermarket are of questionable quality and can leak from the body.

Think I sorted this. The oil pressure sender seemed snug but the oil filter had an oil film from the join down the block. I;ve nipped it up and will keep an eye on it.
