Hi Roy :)

Yes additives can be used...the best I know is called FORTE SPECIALIST INJECTION CLEANER (just add a can or two to tank full of fuel)

Very good stuff.....

OFF car cleaning can be done but its expensive.....what makes you think they need cleaning as modern fuels like V-Power have additives that prevent injectors clogging.... ??

All the best Brett :)

hi brett thanks for the reply my the car has been stood for best part of 10 years i bought it sept last year (2009) have changed the spark plugs and oil turned the engine manually, and it will start for a couple of seconds then die have fed the warm up regulator with direct 12volts which keeps the engine ticking over but when you remove the voltage the engine fails, after reading through stuff on the internet that they can clog up with sat for a while

Ive just used Forte injector cleaner in my Volvo Turbo. It was running rough on start up in the morning but was ok after a few minutes .A couple of weeks with Forte in the tank and the problem has gone! :D Also good stuff for getting cars through MOTs.
