I understand the gold Porsche is the right style perdioly, which is the one I have now. Just thinking the new style, with black script and slimmer back horse would match my wheel centres.

I replaced the original with a brand new one. The old one had discolored badly.
I followed the instructions on Clarks garage and took the badge panel off to make sure i secured it properly.

It took some time to do and looks good. I have kept the original badge in case i ever need it.

BTW: I saw early Porsche bonnet badges at Husbourne Crawley this year. Someone was making brand new ones again - £900 !!! Gulp.

900! That's just silly, there like 30! So was ur replacent flat black Porsche script one?(got a pic)? Iv changed mine all ready last year, it's old style. Fatter shorter horse and solely domed. I just used some string 2 lift and pressed back in. Didn't use the grommets, would rather some one nick it without causin 2 much damage 2 the panel.

So it's the new style flat shape, and black Porsche? Does it sit tight against the badge panel? So it water tight? I MIT stick an extra gaskit underneath

Sorry t3rra - I have not been at home since Saturday.

You wont regret your order, it looks good.
Keep the old badge and use the the nylon line to remove the old one. I took the badge panel off and was dissapointed that i actually didnt need to.

Might be best to take the badge panel off and investigate then?
Good instructions on Clarks garage. http://www.clarks-garage.com/.

I opted to do it this way:

I no how 2 take it off just can't be arsed, much easyer 2 trim one lug with a dremel. Know my luck, prob end up with marking the new paint. But thanks, got a snap off the badge?

There isnt a "flat" type or a curved type Im afraid to say, the ones that look flat have probably been pressed down and maybe look flatter than they do when new or its just the different manufacturers take on the design. There are also pattern badges around to confuse the issue

There are however loads of different part number badges, look here for a mind boggling selection;

The latest style, with the black type, deff looks flatter, I don't think u could flatten a badge without splitting the coloured enmail
