I have noticed the two fuel lines in the driver-side rear wheel arch are badly corroded.
One which has totally corroded through is a breather tube part 92820113503.
I can't work out what the other one is from the parts diagrams, does anyone know ?
regards Ade

I may be totally wrong, but I think you want the next illustration 201-05 where number 27 is "fuel line to engine compartment", part number seems to vary according to year/region but starts 928 356 029 XX.

Many people replace the corroded section, rather than the whole pipe; there's plenty of advice on the 928uk mailing list if a search here doesn't turn up anything useful.

Wow, Thanks porker 928 it looks like a brand new car.
The before picture looks familiar though !
Where did you buy the parts ? was it a full set ?
Most of the underbody of my car does not look to bad
(nothing like yours though) but the these pipes in
the wheel arch have suffered badly so I will try and replace only these. R

Thanks. :)

Ade - If your rear fuel lines are badly corroded then there's a good chance that the fuel tank cradle is also in bad shape. Many a 928 has failed its MOT on this.

I would recommend you replace it with a stainless steel one like I did.

I got mine from Paul Anderson http://www.928spares.co.uk/ but they don't seem to be on his website anymore?

You may have to email him.

Ben
