I keep looking at these, while we were in the US at the beginning of the year went into a huge Ford/Dodge dealer & must have had 150-200 Mustangs alone in their car lot. Went to this place today just down the road & had a mooch around. All the Convertibles are sold but the coupes looked good. 7,500 mile service intervals at 3 levels around 150/230/350 so cheaper than the Jag to service. Spares are no problems he reckons. Only thing is it is LHD  As a daily driver how much of an issue will it be?

Go for it!! I fell in love with the Chrysler Voyager when in the states and knew I would get one eventually. If you've thought about it, go for it. Imagine this, we meet for the first time and I say,

"What do you drive Jim?"

Of course you’re mad. Go for it anyway though.

A good friend of mine has just traded his in for a Camaro. Honestly, he absolutely loved the ’stang. LHD wasn’t an issue for him, he only ever buys American imports so is used to it. He did have the horrendous rear suspension replaced with a Roush setup though.

Yes - completely mad. Looks great until you want to go around a bend. Its a shame the Americans can't do a car that handles properly. Prehistoric cart wheel arrangement comes as standard.

But go for it - you only live twice.

Oh dear stereotypes still rule, this isn't the case. Google some of the US stuff at Nuremburg if you don't believe me. The Mustang is live axle as standard as sceptics want to go drag racing at the weekend but the Roush conversion mentioned above makes it IRS. It also sells as a cheap performance car so is kept simple. Bear in mind these things in base for cost peanuts.

Wasn’t there a girl on the old Porscha-1 forum who had a 944 and a ’stang? I think she had the 944 resprayed to match the Mustang in dark grey, if I remember right.
