Hi - can anyone help and guide me. I'm a total novice when it comes to cars - but we've all got to start somewhere. I need a full set of front anti roll bar bushes for my 944 2.5 lux (1986). The mechanic seems to think there could be 6 for the whole of the front. When I look at the parts web sites there seems to be such a range of bushes

Can anyone point me to the correct items for my car? I've looked on the http://design911-px.rtrk.co.uk/ web site.

Am I right in saying the parts are: 477 411 053 J and 951 343 793 00

Worth searching here as this was recently donw to death on here. Basically you need to accurately measure the anti roll bar middle & ends. You'll probably need new Anti roll bar link bushes as well, this is the bit that goes through the wishbone. Measure it up, post here & I or someone will give you the part no's.

I recently did my '86 Lux - this is what you need - bushes, concave washers and new bolts from Porsche £40.80 posted:


2x 477.411.053.G Rubber Bush
2x 951.343.793.00 Rubber Bush
4x 951.343.795.01 Rubber Mounting Bush (on wishbone)
2x 900.876.01 Bolts
4x 477.411.043 Concave washers

Direct from Porsche? Cheapest I've managed to source not including the washer and bolts is £45 from Design911.

Can you order online via porsche?

This won't necessarily apply to Ian's car as the roll bar sizes can & probably will be different!

I just called Guildford Porsche and they posted the stuff off to me. I don't think you can order online.

My '86 Lux had the original ARB - if Ian's is standard like mine then these are what he'll need

Not necessarily mine had in fact a Turbo dimensioned ARB & this was never fitted according to Porsche records. He needs to measure it otherwise the chances of getting the wrong bits are high.

Did you find anything else Turbo on yours Jim? Or was it just the ARB?

Mine also has turbo antiroll bars. Think it came that way from Porsche. only ways to measure them! Maybe they fitted what they had available or else they were a cost option??

Just the front ARB I assume it is because it is a very late 2.5 it had it although people I spoke to had never heard of it, yet when we went through this a couple of weeks ago someone else had Turbo size bushes. So someone at Porsche's record keeping is dodgy?
It certainly isn't on the options list for mine.
