Hi to everyone out there,
Just joined my name is Glenn and I am from Cumbria, a brief history lesson, I am on my third Porsche now, started with a 944 2.7, had that for just other a year with no problems and really enjoyed it, sold that, to buy a 928, which was OK but everyone in my family hated it, sold it to a collector and got my money back, had short break from a Porsche then bought my current guards red 944 Turbo, which I have now owned for nearly 2 years, this was quite a find as it was owned by the last owner for 19 years and he was 71 when he sold it with 95000 on it.
Had a bit of trouble with it for the first 12 months with an intermittent fault, kept on stuttering and cutting out on me, mostly on boost, but these faults are always hard to cure, as when you take it to the garage it works fine, anyway after trying buying and swapping parts it turned out to be the fuel regulator, which was tested first and was ok, a big thanks to Cath Burrows at Wigan.
I hope to meet a few of you at this year's Silverstone Classic show this July.

Thanks for the Welcome,
The Turbo is an 87, 220 model, and is booked in to ProMax on the 23rd of July, to have the ProMAX Level 2 Performance Kit fitted, then on to Silverstone the next day, just had new TR1's Toyo's fitted today with a full Geometry & Tracking completed, car is feelling good, and I am now gaining confidence with it, aircon recharged and held with no leaks for two weeks now, so fingers crossed and happy motoring, I was thinking during my problem period, of going to a 1983 911 SC, and it still is crossing my mind, but think I will enjoy this for a while, better the devil you know and all that.

Glen,
After it has had a level 2 kit fitted you will be shocked as it will be absolutely rapid being as quick as most 911's including current models and quicker than most....................trust me.
Pm me with with your phone number as we have regular meets in west / east Cumbria nothing official some Tipec and PCGB members with no pomp or elitism just petrol heads in fact most of the very desirable cars are there with people with muck under their finger nails.
Jim West Cumbria.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

I'm at Silverstone too on the Sunday. I'm sure we'll all meet up just fine.

Enjoy the ride.
