boxster window

Hello
hope someone can help. I have a 03 boxster face lift model. Sometimes when i open the drivers door the window comes down but then moves straight back up before the door is shut. i have to
lower the window with the switch inside the car, shut the door then move it back into position. Can anyone suggest a solution? is it a big job? i am worried about the air bags if i take the door panel off.

you need a new door latch unit as the switch below the latching bit gets water ingress in and is not replaceable
