Hi All :)

Sorry I missed this earlier...busy at work....

Hmmm...where do I start.....

I know, I wont bother as anyone who thinks you can run 17lbs of Nitrous in 10 seconds wouldn't understand the long words I would have to use :)

Soooo...next Monday I will driving to Doncaster to have my new system fitted (thats the 2000 hp system costing thousands which obviously wont work, as I just love wasting another 4k to 5k)

I will post photos of the install here and then I will have a car which .... just to disprove various innuendos , I WILL run asap at the Pod or another 1/4 mile track and "hopefully" will be able to run a 13.8 (Even though my 928 is designed for top speed) and assuming I am lucky that will make me the Fastest 928 in the UK ...bar none....1/4 mile record at the moment is held by Adrian Clarke at 13.9 in a 928 Supercharged 5.4 GTS.

And it may go bang...or it might just do what I have been saying......you never know :)

Like to bet ....Mr 911cool....who knows everything about Nitrous even though he has never run it ???

£1000 ...£2000...more ...you choose, I am sure we can find someone like Sean to hold the stakes...

All the best Brett :)

And there you have it the standard Brett reply until he can have one written for him by some one who has a clue about Nitrous, Yes Brett the 17 lbs of nitrous was just to demonstrate to the uninformed just what volume of Nitrous we are dealing with for 2000 bhp, what big words did you have in mind ill try and keep up, progressive, frictional loss, distance, length of pipe, theoretical flow rates why not add in customers adjustability and its Normal to fit jets to restrict BHP or set the controller to say 50% power

I never said the system wont work, mind you even that’s debatable as there are no proven reliable WET Revos system running yet and plodding along a road using a system set to 150 bhp with the slow reacting closed loop don’t really count as working

I take issue with you claiming you will have a system that apart from the solenoids is capable of even running 2000 bhp and even bigger issue that you will be able to use a fraction of that on a stock engine and gear box, was it not proved recently that your so called 1000 bhp system in fact Maxed out at 250bhp due to the bore of the pipe you run from bottles Using the Wizards of Nos own flow rates for that size of pipe and regardless of what you had fitted in engine bay the pipe was acting as a metering jet , Nitrous 101 Brett flow test at point of injection :-)

as i said the most expensive 250bhp system money can buy but if Blings your thing have fun a twin injector with twin solonids will produce all the power you engin will ever take for a fraction of cost

And don’t even start me on fuel system, ignition, traction, gearbox, and engine

Most powerful Nitrous car in UK as I said Put it on a dyno and prove it

Thats a lot uncalled for. So you disagree with the guy. Can't you do that a bit more politely? Free speech is one thing. Being abusive is something else. Actually I doubt putting it on the dyno would prove anything Brett. I did that with mine & got called all the names under the sun. Dyno results were spot on as it happens. Maybe your nuts to mess with a car thats already got a massive engine & goes pretty well. But why not. It's fun. :bounce: If I were you what ever it makes. Keep it under your hat!!

I would have replied yesterday but I had to do a bit of reading up ok lets get some facts on subject

And your hoping you can beat 13.8 secs with a 2000 bhp system on a V8 LOL that will be impressive I am sure all the pro mod guys are shaking in there boots

So what jets are fitted in solenoids on your current set up then, what limit do you set as your max power on controller, what are the spec on your fuel system and ignition system, have you up rated engine or gearbox to handle this 2000 bhp

So I did a bit of checking on these Revos so in approx 3 years of testing they have yet to have a full wet system work, they have no test cars apart from customers it appears and No dyno or test engine set ups so all development work is carried where ? on customers cars , you have to fit a safety solenoid to each revo with a limiting jet to maintain correct mix using jets at full power, so with the back ups still have the problem of Amp usage, there dose not appear to be any details of the close loop working other than it should , I looked on the Revo page the pro mod mock up install looks good but has it ever been tested on a engine , there was a bit that said revo will only work on some engines , so in reality they not sure

If this is such a great system How many of the employees at Wizard of Nos have this or any system fitted to there cars as I could not find any info on that anywhere, seams odd to me and all I could find was a video of them playing with an RC car and a few videos or Nitrous coming out of Revos when you turn them on

Sorry I don’t see how you can claim 2000 bhp and the UK most powerful nitrous car just by slapping on some high flow solenoids to an engine with out the rest of the systems which is 95% of what’s needed to run such a number and you have not even run the system you have at even a ¼ of your claimed 1000bhp, as I said all smoke and mirrors and a sales pitch to sell systems to the uninformed, when a 250bhp basic set up would do the same job on your car

there is a guy called Russ Carpenter who ran a 2.5 litre Daimler Dart engine in a dragster that did a 7.2 quarter (0-100 in 1.2seconds) he achieved 1500bhp from an engine that was only 150bhp in a Dart...
see his website at http://www.russcarpenterracing.co.uk/

13.8 sec 1/4 mile, I know nothing about nitrous systems but thats an awful lot of time, effort and money just to be able to put in a mediocre time over a quarter mile. You can run low 10's on a standard modern sportsbike for a whole lot less but I guess I'm missing the point of being able to win some meaningless pissing countest at your local pub.

Hi :)

I am only going to run the 1/4 to prove to all the naysayers that my system works...and IF i do run a 13.8 and become the fastest 928 in the UK, thats almost immaterial as I have other aims.....

My 928 and Nitrous system is designed specifically for something totally different...Top Speed (over 200 mph), which actually makes it harder to run the 1/4 (gearing etc)

People are always saying I am nuts for what I am doing to my 928, and maybe I am, but at least I am a "Porsche" nut .....

Besides which, if we all had totally standard Porsche's , it would be a very boring world, I think.

As for the Pub contest..I don`t even drink lol :)

If anyone wants to see the car, I will be helping out at the local PCGB Annual family day and Concours at Lulworth Castle (Dorset) on Sunday.

All the best Brett :)

hi Brett
its your money you spend it how you want :D
i hope all goes well for the run and i will donate £10 to your favorite charity for every .1 of a second you go below 13.8 :bigsmurf: ...just don't go too fast

the porsche 928 world will never be boring when NOX is involved.

keep the faith.

and what car does :violent1: he own....
