Hi

Took the porsche out tonight for a quick blast and noticed that the oil pressure gage droped to around 3 Bar when idling at the traffic lights not sure if this is a gage fault as i have just started back up and its fine betweem 4 to 5 when idling just wondered if anyone has had this issue and what to keep an eye on

What oil is in it ? also were you giving it some beans, as my oil pressure does drop a bit more at tickover when its been driven hard, altho' I'm sure I've read somewhere that above 2 bar is ok

Anything above 1.5 - 2.0 Bar is fine at idle, it hugely depends on oil grade used & when it was last changed.

Check you are ticking over at the right RPM, my oil pressure oscillates wildly if tickover is slow about 750 rpm
