Hi People

very new here but been watching for a while, I have had my 944s for over 10 years but it was laid up 18 months ago, (not for any other reason than work commitments led to it being garaged) after reading this thread i inspected the sills to night and to my horror the rears on both sides are looking grim  , outers seem OK and it looks like the rear is the main problem, question is I live in Scotland and wondered if any one could recomend someone to take on the repair, I love the car and it is great in all other respects, help would be much appreciated.

You need the help of Flash Gordon. The Regional Organiser for TIPEC in Scotland can take care of this for you. He knows who, what, when, where and why up here. I think his own 944 has the same problem, might not have been as bad. I have him on speed dial. Get in touch with him and see what he can do. Let us know if you have problems.

Speak to Poprock on here. He's getting his car done right now, so he can give you up to date advice.

I have 2 cars to do sills on so need to do a photo write up I think. The hardest part is joining the floor pan outer edge to the return of the sill if there is not much meat left on them. Also, any rear jacking point repairs are a bit of a pain as well! Time to dig out the welder again!
