Hi there, just a quick intro as today my membership pack came through so I'm officially a TIPEC member. My names Kevin Saunders, 41 years of age, married to Jane and proud Dad to Emma and Jodie and my 944. Got my cobalt blue 944s2 delivered to me on the back of a trailer all the way from Cardiff on February 18th. Bought it from a chappie who told me he had bought it a year ago for a bit of fun but found the marque of Porsche to be very disappointing. So disappointing the plonker had mustered up 14000 un-serviced miles in it. The car clearly needs some tlc and a good service so I'm off to visit Brian Miller of Edinburgh tomorrow to get it a good service and thorough check up. Got a folder full of history with thousands having been spent on it in its life so far and to find this last year of sheer disrespect shown to the car I'm a wee bit disappointed, having had assurances from the previous owner money was no object to keep his fleet of cars. Anyway a fresh start for my new addition and hopefully plenty of quality miles to be spent driving it. Already attended a local meeting at Bo'ness motor museum and was welcomed warmly by Stewart, Alan, Neil, Kevin and several other members who I admit to forgetting the names of (apologies). Stewart has already helped me out with good solid advice and I thank him for that and I now look forward to many wee drives with the club and to attend a few meetings, Gaydon for one I'm assured is a must. Hope to meet some of you soon, cheers Kevin

Hi Kevin, I filled out the paperwork yesterday with Stewart for my membership. I met Brian Miller also, very nice man and very knowledgable. They are a great bunch of people and I'm sure you will enjoy it.

Did Stewart advise on the car and colour, being identical to his?

I live in Lanark and work in Glasgow, so the meetings in Bo'Ness are not to handy, but I'll try and get to as many as I can.

Cheers,

Lee.

Hi and welcome from me. Was looking at a Cobalt Blue 944 at JMG's yesterday, very nice colour should stand out really nicely. Hope you get to enjoy your new ride soon. The initial servicing costs might be scary :? but they get better, honest

Andy

Aye cheers Andy, the wee face at the side of scary has me in a cold sweat. Had an old '77 924 a few years back and cost me nothing to keep on the go but this is a different sort of beast altogether. Thanks for the welcome though folks.

Hi Kevin and welcome to Tipec. Another 944 to add to the ever increasing ranks. By far the best model methinks!

Enjoy the Marque..

Hi Kevin welcome. Nice car. I am sure I drove past you last weekend (possibly the one before) on Corstorphine Rd. I was heading out of town, your car going into town. I was in a Turquoise blue S2.

Mike

Lovely looking car and roads to enjoy properly in Scotland.

All the roads near me are just collections of potholes now!

I haven't been to any of the meetings yet but was hopefully going to make the next one. See you there hopefully.

@RH944 Try driving around Edinburgh there are potholes bigger than your car!
