anyone want to take over as admin of this group ?


my Tipec membership runs out soon and i don't see much point in re-newing so it would seem abit odd for me to continue to run the facebook group page.

Why do you see no point in renewing Helen? It'll be a bit sad to see you go

As for Facebook I don't do that at all so we'll have to find someone else to deal with that bit!

just a purely economical choice.. i haven't been a Active Tipec member for a couple of years now.

i am a member of PCGB for my new cars.. and DDK-online keeps me busy with my old Porsches. I am therefore struggling to find any reason/justification to continue with my Tipec Membership.

That is of course apart from the camaraderie, friendship, p!ss-taking, humour, conversation, track days that run, national events, shows, social evenings, and last, but not least, me!!

The problem with the Facebook group is that Facebook and forums clash
(I.E compete with each other for the same 'custom') . One of my own forums which was very popular was hit very heavily by Facebook which took away a lot of its 'business' This happened as facebook is ideal for a hobby that often courts contravercy or one that relies on posting a lot of pictures. In the case of TIPEC the forum has clearly won all of the 'business'. I wish Facebook and any associated forum could both be busy but It doesnt seem to happen.

The TIPEC facebook group really only has about 4 'active' users. I personally would like to see the Facebook group busy but it isnt happening is it

the idea of the Facebook group was to direct people from facebook here to this forum (or the Tipec website) & also help advertise tipec events/meets....

Helen, I'll take over if no-one else wants too. I don't know a lot about cars n stuff but I'm an enthusiast. And a Mafia Wars queen.

Jen if you don't want to do it or wish to share then Carl in my group is interested. Currently away at the moment but will look at it when I get home.

I've just had a quick look on Facebook and cannot find the TIPEC group? anyone point me in the right direction. I am new to facebook and forums in general, so I might not be able to see the wood for the trees!!

I’m not sure, but when I went for a look I did find this group, which made me laugh: Get Anthony back into TIPEC!

The group unless I am mistaken has gone, unless its a glitch.

Looks like the group has gone and its not in my list of groups I belong to anymore....
