The diesel Audi is a distant memory now, replaced by something more exciting, although not a Porsche it has a 3.0 flat 6 and sounds like one!

2005 Subaru Legacy 3.0 Spec B Sports Tourer, picking up on Friday.

I'll put some pics up when we get it!

Was very tempted to go Cayenne after speaking with David but decided to keep costs down at the moment with the house refurb going on, maybe go that way in a couple of years.

Interesting, but thirsty! Will be good to see how you get on with it.
Just debating a Cayenne at the moment funnily enough!

Having factored in the purchase/running costs compromise, the fuel becomes acceptable. The biggest cost in motoring is depreciation and as I've only paid £10k for a 38000 mile car we will still be quids in compared to the previous Audi diesel unbelievable as it sounds.

Still will pee me off filling it up though I'm sure!

I love the big Scooby estates, we get the Imprezas as company cars.

Tomorrow we finally cross the line and get our first ‘new shape’ Subaru. To make up for it being hit with the ugly stick, we’re having the STI …

Nice one, I think the STI looks excellent personally.

This will be our 3rd Subaru, 2 classic Imprezas before our last Audi.

Any job going for a big fat (me) clanky (machanical engineer) with his own hammer (toolkit)?

I missed out on the really fun cars. We used to have a company Elise, but it was sold on about three months before I joined them …
