PET is right for the S2 AFAIK. S2 uses 3 cambelt rollers (1 tensioner and 2 idler rollers( for the timing belt and 2 rollers (1 tensioner, and 1 idler)) for the balance belt

An idler just above the crank gear.

Can you shed more light on this please? What one do you think is wrong on the list in the post above?

I Think it is the one marked "Smooth idler" as all the others are marked 944/968

Nope, that is part number 94410524103 and is on a 968, as are all the 5 rollers/tensioners listed above, unless of course Porsche have got it wrong?

The parts diagram indicates that the rollers on the 968 are the same as the S2 just with a slightly different layout. Illustration 103-10 and 103-15

http://www.porsche.com/all/media/pdf/originalparts/en/E_944_91_KATALOG.pdf
http://www.porsche.com/all/media/pdf/originalparts/en/E_968_KATALOG.pdf

The camshaft roller layout on 103-10 is different but has all the same parts.

All possibly a bit off topic though as Paul just wanted to know which is cheapest. Seems like http://www.eurocarparts.com was ok.

944 105 241 02 is not present on a 968.

Promax were cheapest for me and I think you will find the price difference between 968 and S2 shown on their website reflects the missing roller.

Yep or the version of PET you have is old?? All I know is that when I changed my belts I checked with Porsche and the independents and it is 1 less than an S2.
