Hi All,

Just had a call from the garage sorting mine out. They need a CV joint inner OSR.

I will start looking , but has anyone got any recommendations for supplier?

i might just get them to get one in, but thought I would ask.

Am at work, so can't spend too long looking myself.

Thanks
Regards
Paul

When we wanted one last year Paul bought his from Type911 around £50ish + P &P if I remeber correctly. You'll need new bolts & not all the replacements come with them, this one did!

Well that might be good news. Someone just said they are not made and I need a new drive shaft.

Will check them out!

Thanks Jim,

Doh! Just spotted that it is for a 928!
I was quoting 944, but I'd have thought they were still available as they are very generic & not made by Porsche, normally by GKN or similar!

Edited to say Porscheshop list them on a google & so do others.

As do Design 911!

Thanks Jim,
I found the design911 one afterwards, although only when I searched by the part number.
I have rung Type911 to see what they come back with.

Thanks for your help, it has saved me some cash.

Regards
Paul

You can afford to run a 928, you don't need to save any cash or is to save for the fuel

No problem glad to help! :D

I scrape by! I have been popping out late at night draining 944s of their fuel ;-)

I just popped down to see them and went with getting the unit reconditioned for around a hundred quid.
So less than one replacement joint and the whole lot including boots with be made to look like new.

Will let all know final cost and try to get some pictures.

I did see pretty much all the brakes done now, which was good. Slowly getting there!

Regards
Paul

Here is a shot of the new front discs, hoses, pads and calipers

And another:

The new steering rack and ends is poking out.

Needs a clean under there :-)

I see clean blue paint in the grime by the hose holding thingy.

Those are big brakes. No wonder they cost so much!

Euro Car Parts sent me some S4 brakes in error and they were even larger. The discs are heavy beasts for sure.
