hi how does the gator come off i have a 944 lux and are thinking about changing the gear stick but not sure how the gaitor comes off any ideas??

It's guled and the top cap with the shift pattern, holds it on. I got a new leather gatter of eBay. About 18 pounds pretty good. Just don't use super gule on the sides. As it grabs 2 quick, even if u pre streached the leather 2 shape. I found super gule good 4 tucking the leather under the top cap,

The base of the gaitor is held in on a fairly flexible plastic frame - just gently try to bend it inward and it'll unclip. I also got a gaitor off ebay aqnd it was a cinch to fit with good instructions. Use copydex or a contact adhesive and it'll all hold together nicely.
