Got a phone call yesterday from the guy who fitted my alarm to take the car back today to finish it off, I now have all 10 speakers working and an intermittent drivers door window now fully working. The rear base speakers had to be replaced and a nice pair of Pioneer 17cm's took their place, the non functioning driver door speakers and window fault were down to three broken wires in the drivers door loom. He repaired these and cut the surround from the old speakers to graft onto the new ones so I kept the original look inside the car. So I've now got decent sounds, bluetooth hands free phone and iPod connectivity and no bulky 6 CD player cluttering the car up.
