I don't want to rain on your parade, BUT:
One thing that newbie 'Ringers are often unaware of is that the vast majority of UK insurance companies either specifically exclude cover or will hide behind insisting that it's a racetrack (and therefore also no cover). Be in no doubt that should the worst happen unless you have 'ring specific 3rd party cover, you
are uninsured. Even if the insurance company is forced to pay out at the time, they will sue you for the money afterwards. If it's just your car you wreck you might accept that risk, but what if you kill somebody or even just cause a big expensive accident due to dropping oil? Even just the Armco & closure bills can quickly mount up into the thousands.
That said, there's no place like it & if you avoid weekends it's a good bit quieter. Problem is that this year, like last year, there are almost no full weekdays over the summer, it's all 2 hour evening sessions. Wednesday 15th September is the only full TF day this year where the weather is reasonably certain to be OK. I'll be there for a full week around then
