Evening All,

Took my car out today and sadly spent most of the time doing 10mph in traffic. That's London for you. I noticed though that the car is pulling to one side, again. It started to do this not long after I bought the car and Paul Anderson advised that it would be the geometry, suggesting that it had probably been set up as an S2 ie, 16" wheels rather than for the 17" mine has. This fixed the problem to about 90%. I've since done around 600 miles since. The problem: the car pulls to the left quite strongly, worse when the road you are on slopes off to the left. However, if you apply the gas, it pushes to the right. From memory, the wear on the front tyres is even, but I'll have to check again as it was pouring down with rain.

I'm wondering if it might be the steering rack, or perhaps worn bushing in the suspension. I suggested both to PA back in November but he was fairly confident that correcting the geometry would sort things out.

Any advice welcome.

RB

Hi :)

Hmm...if it straightened up when applying power it could well be geometry....

If it definitely pulls to the right when applying power , I would suspect either a bad tyre (lump or drastic wear on one side) or a bad joint.... which SHOULD have been found on an Mot if one was done recently....

All the best Brett :)
