Lo all, I'm thinking which of the two would best suit me as both appear to be about the same distance and both seem well thought of. Has anyone who has experienced both got any thought on this. I would like to book one before they sell out.
I would like to take the wife and two small children so are either of these suited to the family at all and perhaps one more than the other, this would be a consideration.

Cheers Mas

IMHO if you wish to attend with family, then Prescott would be the better event.

Curborough is a sprint event on a small circuit and (again, in my opinion) is more suited to a boys' day out.
Prescott can be turned into a weekend event, with a Cotswold tour on the Saturday, and car displays, track time and a general "good day out".

Graham , if we can only get away for the one day is the second day still o.k as a family day out. I'm not sure we can organise things here for the weekend with animals etc but I'm tempted.

Cheers Mas

The Saturday is the Cotswold drive out - I enjoyed it.
The Sunday is the main event at the hill climb and has static displays, a cavalcade (if you don't want to burn rubber) or the Hill Climb itself. I'd recommend it, but it's each to their own.

Hi Mas,

From a family pov Sunday at Prescott would be a fine choice as long as weather is good.

It's a very beautiful location set in Cleeve hills outside Cheltenham with fantastic views. To be frank nothing specifically for kids but loads of potential for picnics and ice-cream. Your kids may be old enough to enjoy the sight and sound of some great machines tearing up the hill as well, but even without that it's very enjoyable and a really festive atmosphere.

Does sound like a +2 for the Prescott and TBH it's what I thought folk would say. Is there a club get together and do I book the Paddock and the Orchard , is that what other TIPEC folk would normally be booking ? Time for sleep work beckons yuk

Sorry for the 1st timer questions :drunken:

Mas

There is a TIPEC get together, and it was too well attended last year so the organisers had to extend our parking area.
You need to book Paddock OR Orchard (not 'and'). Last year I did the Cotswold tour and Orchard, but this year I may do the Paddock - still undecided. It's personal choice really whether you want a static display and slow cavalcade up the hill at lunch time, or put your car through it's paces.
Any make/model is allowable and I spotted the oldest bone shakers, and a Bentley (which I think may have stopped for a spot of lunch half way, ).
Obviously a number of Porsches too.
The choice..............is yours.
