Lo all, I have my Nightbreaker bulbs to try and am about to put them in.
Believe it or not despite searching here and googling ( I cant get it to work here) , I cant find a walkthrough
( other than Wiiki yuk ) but I know I have seen one.

I know there is some manual 'raiser' to turn and that I need a star screwdriver ( is this a just Phillips ? or something else)

Can someone just list what you do , or anything that I might cock up/damage.

Ta

Mas

As said you can follow the link and pretty easy, I switched on my headlights to raise them then removed the headlight motor fuse to keep them up when I switched off the ignition and lights (to save battery). Them three Phillips head screws (small) in the headlight cover (careful not to scratch the paint) then gently prise off the covers not easy to do and aagin mind the paint as they tend to fly off when not expecting it. you can then remove the black plastic surrounds and get to the bulb holder behind, be careful when you prise off the rubber bulb seal on the back as it can be tight and can pull the headlamp out of its housing stripping the fixing screws (don't ask how I know this), then as it say in Haynes refitting is reverse of removal. Obviously be careful not to touch the new bulbs with your fingers as the grease will burn on and reduce the lifespan of the bulb.

David, you don't need to remove the black plastic surround. Just take lid off & remove rubber cuff on the bulb.

Sorry Jim, You are right of course and I should not have included it in the instructions but I had to remove mine as the rubber was sooo tight when I pulled it off it stripped the adjusting and moounting screws out of the bezel and the lamp fell out, so I had to take the whole thing out to rebuild the lamp.

But you are right only the cover needs to come off.
