What formula is used to calculate the price on such a car?

80 Grand for a 964? Really?

I think I'll ask £3,000,000 for my Saab as they are now part of motoring history.

If the description is genuine (and if they stick an MOT on it!) then I can understand the price. This is a piece of automotive art. For a collector, or even someone whose life's ambition was to win the PCGB concours, it could be attractive. What counts against it is that the 964 isn't significant in the same way as a 993.

Maybe we've all got too used to the idea of Porsches - I'm thinking 944s here - as cheap runabouts. It makes a change to see prices being asked which are still a fraction of those being asked for say well-restored Astons and Ferraris.

Trouble is its only worth that money because its done 75 miles, if you bought it , ran it for a couple of years and stuck say 20K miles on it the car would only be worth £15K ? so who could afford it? only someone who was not going to run it, unless you won the euro millions :D :D :D :D

I am all for nostalgia after all I drive a 944 but for that much money I am afraid I would want a Ferrari or Lambo not a Carrera 2 911, indeed if I have £80K to spend I would probably buy a brand new 997 and get my choice of colour and not be afraid to put some miles on it.

I'd buy it if I had the money.
It's my favourite Porsche of all time though and would rather have that one than a new model anyway.

Regards
Paul
