Hi Folks

I've waited as long as I could to assess the weather but there is no improvement likely. I have spoken with the Red Lion this morning and the surrounding lanes are in a sorry state as you would expect and snow is falling again. :(

Rather than risk folk being caught out in the snow (or worse) I have decided to postpone Club night for one week to allow the worst of this weather to clear.

We shall therefore meet at the Red Lion on Monday 18th January for our first meet of 2010.

Those of you that ordered club calendars will be pleased to know I will have them with me so please bring along your £15 or a chq for same made payable to "Tipec Central"

See you all a week tomorrow

Paul :D

Been waiting for Paul to comment, but in his absence, and in response to Siggy -

Yes, it is a Central thing. Paul asks for TIPEC-related photos of members' cars in shows and picks out 12 or so to go into the region's calendar.

They're only available as pre-order, and I declined last year, but have one on order this year. Will be picking it up at the next club night.

Dunno - I've e-mailed Paul direct for you.
He is on the forum a lot thought, so may well address this issue when he is.

Hi JJ

Apologies but I've only just been alerted to your query. The Calendar idea cropped up a couple of years ago as I found a company that put it all together for you if you supply photo's and key dates etc.
I thought it would be good to have a wall calendar based on club events/club owned cars so I had one put together and it came out ok. In 2009 about 15 central members took one and this year I expect it wil be a little more. Also for 2010 calendar I invited anyone in the club to send photos for consideration and as a result there are photos in this year's calendar representing South Central and Kent. Over a couple of years I had hoped to build sufficient interest in a club calendar to justify sourcing a high quality printer for a proper print run. In the meantime what we have for 2010 is fairly decent.

If there is enough interest after next Monday's club night I will do a second order so please shout if you would like a copy (£15)

Cheers

Paul

Thanks. Thats a great idea. Maybe there should be a TIPEC calendar? With a bigger print run it might work out cheaper?? Wifeskis beat me too it with a boring one. No tits I checked. Blackbirds & Robins..... Probably because I suggested a proper one with Porsche's on it. :( Maybe next year.
